Week 2: Vikings (0-1) @ Bears (1-0) Noon CT, Fox/780

More PFF Grades:

The three lowest grades went to Jermon Bushrod (-2.9) and Jordan Mills, Shea McClellin and Henry Melton (-2.4)

Yay?

Whoever is quoted there is not very good at counting.

They were tied for third.

Tied for second, actually. Odd to mention 3 lowest grades when there were 2 grades and 4 players.

Eek - for some reason I read that as Jordan Mills at -2.9.

Still, I'm sure they gave the "three lowest grades" for each team and the Bears just happened to have a three way tie at second.

Well sorta, it was three lowest grades for the game, both teams included. Vikings had 2 of the 3 highest grades (Briggs was 1st) and Bears had all 3 of the lowest graded players.

On a side note, will be interesting to see how the DVOA works out after this one.

Forgot Julius Peppers was sick. Hope that was why he was so bad.

PFF with Briggs as a Top 3 Performer at (+3.6)

but i heard he was a non-factor and got run over by a QB

I do not believe he has had the type of impact he used to have, and PFF grades are hardly indisputable data points.

Not having the same impact as he used to and being a "non factor" are two different things.

In Trestman's press conference he said that Peppers was probably sicker yesterday than he had been all week long. I'm willing to accept that excuse. Heard multiple people say he looked miserable.

Yeah, that's what reminded me of him being sick.

you're moving the goal posts a bit here, and while PFF grades aren't omniscient, they're better than you or i by a wide margin, and most everyone would accept that.

Listening to Waddle and Silvy and there's some serious gushing about Jay by the national media. Hasselbeck this morning on Mike and Mike and Jaws both had some really high praise for him, especially the game winning throw.

@mikecwright: Pro Football Focus says Jermon Bushrod was worst rated OL of Bears in Week 2. Gave up 3 hurries, a QB hit & a sack.

To be fair, he was facing Jared Allen.

Stephen Paea's Haka dance prior to the game. Pretty [expletive] cool.
