So with Brooks Raley up for the time being, I'd really love to see Hendricks get a shot at AAA.

I'm thinking that Raley's call up will be a quick roun tripper, just long enough to rest the pen. He'll likely be back on the bus by midweek. They might not bother making a corresponding move unless of course more trades are to come by then.

In other news, after canceling its regularly scheduled rain delay to play baseball, The D Cubs are up 7-0 in the 3rd; but their Baez&Soler-less lineup is about as uninspiring as they get.

Loosen just no-hit Dunedin. 2 BB, 9 K.

The even rarer 9 inning variety too.

The final inning was fun to listen to.

Well, I guess I was wrong on the DSL Cubs starter.

loosen's last 4 starts: 27 ip, 9 h, 1 r, 5 bb, 31 k.

i know he flopped badly at AA, but he's 24 years old. might as well just put him back there since he's beating up on A ball, and let him sink or swim.

Gameday #2 of Baez in Double A was not as successful as day one. 0 for 7. I guess a silver lining is only 2 K's.

well, that is 29%

I wonder if we'll see Dunston moved up soon. There's room in the KC outfield, and his line so far reads like someone who could benefit from a level where he'll see more strikes.

From what I have seen Hanneman is the one that should move up.

Why they still have Skulina working out of the pen is beyond me. He is good.

Innings limits on all recently drafted pitchers after long college seasons. He'll get the chance to start next season.

They probably want to limit his innings.

Sounds right. Masek is working out of the pen too.
