I took Reddick off the DL and dropped Konerko, because even when Konerko was healthy, he didn't look healthy.

I put Hicks into my starting lineup and sat Hosmer on the bench to work with his new hitting coach to get some elevation on the damn ball.

 

I'm fairly happy with getting Hicks and Gose the past couple weeks. I'm not sure why they were available, though. Are people's minors really so full they need to drop these guys before they hit 200 AB, or do people think they have to promote them as soon as they reach the majors?

I dropped Gose bc there were other prospects I preferred, he's been bad and I think he's going to burn a second exemption this year. I'd guess, but don't know for sure, that Minny didn't know he could keep Hicks in the minors.

I'm going to be dropping Kendrick after his start against Miami and promoting Hicks in advance of his 200 AB (PA?).

 

I'd like to pick up a minor leaguer who isn't in the database. I assume that's kosher since we can do it at draft time.

moreover i see that Machado's only eligibilities per CBS are 3B, U but when i try to force Cuddyer (79 more career games [79] at 2B than Machado's had [0] at SS) into my 2B pit of despair, no dice

fundamentally, if you had Cuddyer at 2B from the time he was eligible there until today, the software would actually tell you let you do so. Moreover, it would actually TELL you on your roster page that he's still eligible there.

 

As I mentioned last week, we should really move the league to another site one of these years.
