So I take it that good will toward Cubs is officially over until the next slightly above averag streak?

Not for me. It's just the fact that they are secretly ok is probably irrelevant because they are buried way too deep now.

What do you know, another Rizzo out!

of all the lousy offensive players on the cubs, you decide to crap on anthony rizzo?

Just tired of his slump, that's all.

Have the starting pitchers really been accounting for the majority of the Cubs runs in the past week? I'm too lazy to look it up.

While the damage is likely done for this season, it does make me want to bring back more guys for next year than I originally did. Most notably Garza, Feldman if he's willing to sign something in the 2/10 range, and Valbuena.

Valbuena probably sticks.

I don't really think Feldman's evaluation has changed at all. He's a 4.00ish peripherals pitcher who may or may not be able to handle a full season in a rotation. I won't turn him down if he wants to come back cheap-ish, but if he finishes the season strong he'll probably get more than I'd be willing to pay for him.

Garza is going to be a 30-year-old pitcher with three consecutive years of DL time looking for a large, multiyear deal. I really doubt I'll be interested in what he ends up going for.

Mostly, I just want to make sure we don't trade deadline dump a lot of the guys with 2014 control.
