I shouldn't say stuff like this but I've gone the overly confident route all year with this team. It's hard to see Minnesota beating us 4 times before we beat them twice. They suck.

The problem with MN is they don't have an identity. If you aren't overly skilled, you have to play a tougher, more physical game. They don't. So not only are the Hawks light years better offensively, they aren't paying the price for dancing around in the offensive zone. Great first round matchup as, so far anyway, doesn't look like it's going to take much out of them.

Rooting for Detroit to win their series because getting them next would be great, though Detroit's experience makes them more dangerous.

Also, if MN had Heatley and Pominville, they'd look a lot better.

So Collins was fired under pressure from the Hawks who partially own CSN. According to the link, CSN had been reviewing the Sports Nutz for a few weeks and this pushed them over the edge. http://www.chicagotribune.com/business/ct-biz-0504-comcast-collins-20130504,0,2739822.story

Yeah Boers and Bernstein were hammering the Hawks over it. Apparently this is the third time they've fired a CSN reporter, while supposedly the Cubs, Sox and Bulls have never chosen to fire anyone.

Any word on Bolland and/or Emery for today?

Edit: NM I just read they were both ruled out. If we can win today just rest them until the 2nd round.

Are they going to switch to the Hawks on NBC in Chicago if the Isles-Pens game is still going on (we're in OT intermission right now). If they don't, they might put the coverage on CNBC where they have been playing some NHL playoff games this week.
