Weird reading the Bruins HF boards thread. They were actually saying that we were carrying play in the 3rd OT and they were very impressed with us.

By the way, did anyone catch Iron Maiden's "2 Minutes To Midnight" being played at exactly 11:58pm? Bravo, Mr. Sound Man. Bravo.

The bruins board on hfboards was complimenting the UC music tonight.

www.twitter.com/raykramer is his Twitter account. He's an awesome follow.

i wish i would have tallied how many times i thought to myself, "man, the blackhawks are going to have a lot of work to do after this loss." the bruins were just better in pretty much every way for most of the game, the exception being goaltending. the hawks definitely carried play at times, but as soon as it was noticeable, the bruins forecheck and general stick wizardry would break it up and things would get back to the neutral zone quickly

i just am unimpressed with rask. he's overconfident, i knew he was going to get beat when he misplayed that shot before the winner. he just has an incredible defense in front of him that is able to drive down the quality of shot that is put on him. i suppose that's not a knock on him, but in the end, we scored twice as many goals in this game as pittsburgh did all series. he's just catching all the glory for what is a great, great defense

we stole this one, hopefully we make the adjustments needed to not have to rely on thievery

i dont really feel like they stole one when they carried play for the 2nd and 3rd periods. it felt like boston was kind of lucky to get it to OT.

That's kind of how I felt too.

Whoever that game was going to be lucky to do so, so many missed chances for each team. Though I do feel like we were more lucky than them.

@MarkLazerus: Shaw on NBC F-bomb: "Slip of the tongue. I was exhausted, I couldn't think at all. Barely breathe. I think I made up a word in there, too."

Did Shaw just f-bomb the world?

yes

ok, i heard that right, too. but you can't hold him accountable after scoring the winning goal in a triple overtime game. the fact that he was able to say english words is good enough.

The game looked different in my eyes. Bruins defense prevented them from losing 10-3 but the Hawks controlled for the most part.

The game -- which Andrew Shaw of Chicago ended in the midst of the third overtime -- drew a 4.8 overnight, the best for a Stanley Cup Final Game 1 since 1997, when the Flyers and Red Wings drew a 5.2 on Fox. It was also up 100 percent from last year's meekly rated overtime Game 1 between Los Angeles and New Jersey (2.3).

I'm not sure about anyone else, but in the game I watched, the Hawks completely dominated periods 2 and 3.
