So I've been really enjoying having either a Bulls or Hawks playoff game every night. Assuming we don't choke in the 3rd it might be awhile before another Hawks game. Maybe not until mid week next week. By then the Bulls season will probably be over.

Yeah, weekend free of playoff games. Fun stretch though.

kinda wish they'd put Bickell on the top line.

they just said this would be the last local broadcast of the year on CSN...I definitely could be wrong but I thought the local broadcasts carried through the 2nd round in previous years. Did that change?

I dunno - love how the guys on the third line play together, though that could get re-shuffled when Bolland gets back.

Just love that guy. Man, I don't know who it was he leveled, but he really put a shoulder into a guy last night.

that hit made me cringe a little when i saw the replay last night. it's the definition of a hockey play, a good, solid hit to the body. unfortunately for gilbert, his head is attached to his body and became a secondary point of contact. though i guess luckily for him, his head is still attached to his body, cause he got worked

Who do you guys think Torres will be targeting if the Hawks end up playing the Sharks?

if he targets anyone he should be out of hockey forever

I thought the same thing.

So did I, but I also don't remember so many games being on CNBC before. Maybe with that addition, NBC got the rights to all 2nd round and greater playoff games, which would be the same policy that the NBA has (1st round can be on local, but all afterwards is on national only broadcasts).

Overall, probably a positive, especially for out of town fans, but it sucks for Blackhawks fans because Foley is such a good announcer.

It's fun watching the highlights from the other broadcast. There was an actual hockey game last night.

I was stuck watching the Wild broadcast. I thought it was a funeral.

If we play the Sharks and we have the series in hand, I hope Carbomb levels Torres

Which is just going to inspire them to run a Blackhawks star.

I don't expect any foolishness from Torres. He's been a huge part of the Sharks run because he's a solid skater and provides a lot of energy. He's a useful player if he keeps his inner felon in check. He seems to have realized that for now.

If it was his first time I might say the same. We're talking about a player who has been suspended for hits to the head on more than one occasion. I don't think he's learned anything. It will eventually happen again.

Also, I just don't want Hossa having to think about it while he's playing.

So the only way to do that is for Hossa not to think about it or have Torres taken out in the first minute of the series.

I don't see the point.

not worried about torres or sharks. i'm looking forward to play a team that can actually compete and challenge the hawks to be better. this was basically 5 scrimmages so their skating muscles wouldn't atrophy
