Kane Cty is actually playing. No score in second, Johnson 3K/2H/1BB through two, one of the hits a Texas leaguer Martin probably should have caught.

Contreras has quickly gotten a passed ball.

Kane up 5-0 after three. Vogelbach with two singles, average up to .321, although with no power. (15 singles, 2 XBH)

There's not much Cubs-related stuff I don't worry about. Vogelbach's power though, is among that small ass group though.

Pierce, by the way, seems to have really settled after a shaky first start a couple weeks ago.

His final line for today: 5 IP, 3 H, 1 R, 0 ER, 1 BB, 6 K, 5/3 GO/FO

@CubsDen 49s

@ShadowofWrigley It was just announced that Pena is replacing Arias tomorrow. Arias going to DL with elbow injury.

Well, that sucks.

id be pretty worried about correa's strikeout rate so far in the lowest levels if we had drafted him 1.1

I still REALLY wish Buxton had fallen to us.

The 20% walk rate is pretty sexy, though.

He's definitely looking the part right now. I'm anxious as hell to get Almora back though. He won't have the loud tools obviously, but I bet he moves quicker once all's said and done.

Shoulders HR #3

I love him so. SSS be damned.

Heh heh. So, how likely is it that DH goes NL in the near future?

Goes with a 2B, BB and K on the day.

Hard not to be impressed, lets hope its not just an unsustainable hot streak. It'd be really cool if he turns into another legit 1B prospect for us. Great outing from PJ too, fully expect he'll be one of the first guys to get promoted this year.

Any indication of how well Rock manages LF? Is it realistic to imagine him sticking there?
