My team sucked last year but I did end up with a number of great keeper options. I'm in a 10 team league, fairly deep rosters. We keep 3 players, at least 1 has to be a pitcher 1 has to be a hitter. When you keep a player you lose your draft pick in the round they were picked in last year...if they were undrafted last year you lose an 8th rounder.

Who would you choose as the 3 keepers?

McCutchen (4th round)

Trout (undrafted, would lose 8th rounder)

Cespedes (19th round)

Justin Upton (1st round)

Adrian Gonzalez (2nd round)

Strasburg (6th round)

Darvish (10th round)

The obvious answer is McCutchen, Trout, Strasburg and lose a 4th, 6th, 8th, but I'm tempted to kep Cespedes instead of McCutchen. Is that crazy?

bumped to see if anyone had any input. Everyone I know that plays fantasy is in the league I'm in so I need some sort of input.

I see McCutchen as a 1st round in many mock drafts, and I can get him in the 4th.

Meanwhile I see Cespedes as a 3rd or 4th round pick and I can get him in the 19th.

I could be tempted to drop Strasburg and then just pick him back up or go pitching early. Your lineup would already be nasty & versatile (HR/SB).

1 has to be a pitcher though. I agree if the rule wasnt like that I'd go with Cutch, Trout and Cespedes no questions.

Thanks for the advice guys

McCutchen, Trout, Upton. High end pitching is overrated. You get to start with probably the best OF in your league (and a ridiculously well rounded one at that).

Edit: Just saw the pitcher thing. Then I'd go Trout, Cutch and Strausburg. Not sure I'd take Cespedes over Upton.
