Machado should end up at SS.

Gotta believe stitchface is right about Baez and Correa. I'd be worried about Middlebrooks' wrist.

I did not think there was a chance the #1 pick in last year's draft would make it to #7.

he's still pretty high risk, no?

Yes, but Buxton and Zimmer (already had surgery in his short pro career) are probably nearly as risky. And Russell is a bit of a gamble too...

I figured the safest bets were Zunino and Soler. Hopefully I'm not wrong.

Why do you think Correa ends up at 3B? The hype on him being ranked higher than Baez is that he combines most of Javy's offensive upside with most of Lindor's defensive value.

Middlebrooks has swung ok this spring, including a hr.

Other than no catcher being a real safe bet, he was the most likely player to contribute in the majors in the draft, IMO.

btw, Navin, I was going Russell if you went with Correa.

I have to think Soler is pretty high risk but you know I'm pulling for him.

What I was seeing suggested Zunino was very likely to be a decent MLB catcher as early as next year. Probably means he's a decent RK C by 2014 with either 2 or 3 exemptions (depending on whether he uses 1 this year).

Compared to the other top prospects like Correa and Buxton?

I'm extra pessimistic because he's a cub

I think he outgrows the position given his current size and how young he still is.

Agreed. Zunino is easily the safest bet to have moderate big league success.

Soler is odd...he has risk given he is still somewhat unknown plus he had 2 years off from playing. But he has more high level international experience than even college draftees who play on Team USA.

FWIW, I had Soler 1 and Zunino 2 on my RK board (in terms of fantasy value, not how good a prospect they are).

Hey, so far I've had the #3 pick in each draft and gotten my #1 choice in each.

And until Reyes and Zunino collide in spring training this week which results in career ending injuries for both, I'm pretty happy about it.

My next couple guys haven't been picked yet, so I'll leave them anonymous until #31. ;)

3 & 4. Russell/Correa tied

5. EDIT: Almora

6. Buxton

I had Zimmer at 10. I'm nervous after his "minor" elbow surgery last fall.
