I think it comes down to only having one backup tackle to plug in. Webb might be a smidge better than Carimi but not by much.

And Webb has had more "ok" games than Carimi. Also a lack of confidence that you have a real LT fill-in.

This isn't a one game knee jerk reaction, his play hasn't warranted further starts. Just because you are a first rounder doesn't give you leeway for sustained periods of poor poopy play.

 

Yeah, he hasn't played at an acceptable level, Jonathan Scott has to be better than him. It's a shame because Carimi looked fine before the injury last year and needs all the reps he can get since he's so young.

 

I'd love to see Edwin Williams get a chance at guard or center (let's not pretend Garza has been any good either).

 

I agree with puting Edwin Williams in. I liked what I saw of him last year.

The Vikings have won like 1 time in the last 12 years in Chicago and that was Adrian just going nuts. It also seems like in recent years, regardless of how the Bears OL has looked leading into this game, the Vikings can't get the expected pressure on Cutler. I wanted to think the Vikings could finally get one with the Bears coming off a road Monday night game and us having a bye, but Percy out and Cutler in swings the pick.
