I'd like to see Williams replace spencer. I think that is a bigger upgrade than him over Webb. Now that Scott is the swing tackle move Williams back to LG where he was above average last year.

After seeing the Rams take Detroit to the limit, and defeating Washington, I'm ready to say this won't be a cakewalk next week.

No joke. Just saw opening line of 9.5. Seriously? I'll take the Rams all day.

Eh, I'm not too worried about the Rams. The last 2 years when the Bears OL has been beat up like they were on Thursday, they've been fortunate enough to see a poor run D next on the schedule, allowing them to "dumb down" the offense and still win. Both times, it's been Carolina coming to town, but this year it's the Rams. Not saying the Bears are going to run for 200+ like they did vs. Carolina each of the last 2 seasons, but I'd expect an offensive game similar to those games. Bush gets 20-25 carries. Balanced attack with a lot of short, quick throws. Defense should be able to stop the run and get some pressure on Bradford. I'd be surprised if the Bears win by less than 2 TDs, but I don't expect it to be as pretty as the Colts game.

I hope you're right, but that's a pretty bold prediction given what just happened Thursday, and given the Rams win today.

I'd take the Rams and the points. But -- I don't bet on sports.

Well, given what happened last Sunday, it was pretty bold that Brandon Marshall would be held without a catch for the first 50 minutes of the game on Thursday. The Bears put up 40 the previous week on a team who gave up 30 to the Niners, but could only score 10, seven of which came after the game was basically over. In the NFL, there is still a decent homefield advantage. The Bears are at home and are clearly a superior team on paper. There's really no reason they shouldn't win this game. Whether they cover the spread or not doesn't really matter to me. I wouldn't bet on it either way, if I was a betting man, because of Thursday....but the Bears should win this game, fairly decently. If not, this probably isn't a playoff team and doesn't deserve to be.

The Rams do look improved, but let's not forget the Detroit game was similar to a home game as far as climate and field surface/condition go. This team has always struggled outdoors. Put up 16 or less points in all six outdoor games last year, including 3, 13, 0, and 0 in four games on grass. Now to be fair, they didn't score many points anywhere last year, but I'm not still not too worried considering the level our defense is playing at right now. Also, Steven Jackson pulled a groin today and will probably sit this one out.

Are you sure he pulled his groin? Rotoworld said he was benched for a penalty and that's why he didn't return.

It was coincidental that he got a penalty before being pulled for injury. Fisher said it was strictly due to injury in the post game.

Nobody's totally sure yet. Fisher said it was the injury, but it's strange that he was pulled on the exact play where the penalty occurred.

I happened to be watching when it happened. Jackson didn't appear injured in the least. Also, Fisher never challenged the call. I thought it deserved a challenge. So who knows?

Maybe Fisher's angry enough to bench him for next week! :)

Lovie said this morning it's not a high ankle sprain for Forte.

Well I guess that could mean it's better or worse. Did he say which?

Huh. Moore was joking around with Cutler in one of the cuts they showed during the "Best of Jay Cutler" Sound FX this weekend. So it's not like they have a bad relationship to begin with either.

D.J. Moore on Cutler-Webb situation, ``Shoot, it's unfair to be like that toward J'Marcus.''

#Bears CB DJ Moore says Jay Cutler was wrong to shove JMarcus Webb on sideline. Teammates now adding to criticism.

great

More Moore on Cutler-Webb: ''I don't talk to jay, but he knows. But if I was J'Marcus, (shoot), listen ... you just can't do that."

More Moore on Cutler-Webb: ''It's like bad-mouthing someone in the media. It's just weird."

I think the chest bumping is what people are having a hard time dealing with. Webb deserved to have his ass chewed out, but things change when they become physical. I'd prefer Jay just apologize to keep the peace. Edited by CubsBearsMagic

Bears will start Chilo Rachal in place of Chris Spencer on Sunday. Webb remains at LT.

We know Chilo's a good run blocker, but his pass blocking is the problem is it not?

I honestly don't know enough about the guy. Biggs' article on the Trib site says that Chilo thinks LG will be better for him than RG (where he's played previously) because he's left handed, so it's more natural. But people say things....who knows.

I don't have a problem with it, but I think that's clearly where his teammates have an issue with it.

I do think it's weird that the nickel corner is the one speaking out about it though.

I've heard 49er fans speak, well, unflattering of him, during his tenure there.
