Gotta imagine Almora gets bumped up to Boise/Peoria soon.

I doubt he'll get up to Boise until the AZL season is finished. No way he'll get to Peoria this year.

Currently, Boise leads the NWL East by 4 in the second half. If they win the division in the second half, they'll make the NWL playoffs.

Currently, the AZL Cubs are 1 game out of first place in the AZL East but are the leaders of the wild card spot in the AZL by 3.5 games. They'll make the playoffs if they win the AZL East or get the wild card if they have the best record amongst the non-division winners.

None of the full season teams or the DSL teams are close to making the playoffs.

Wow for some reason it feels like Peralta pitched yesterday.

He last pitched on Tuesday and had the most dominating start of any Cub minor league pitcher this year.

That would give him approximately 4 games in Boise, not including potential playoff games.

That's generally what has happened to HS draftees in the past (including Baez last year).

Daytona starts with a delay......

Both games rained out, neither will be made up. So Daytona got in 1 of the 4 games in their series against Dunedin.

well, peralta was pretty bad.

It'll happen. I threw out an Alberto Cabrera comp somewhere, and it's very possible that Peralta never puts it together as a starter, like Cabrera. That said, there just aren't that many raw arms in the system right now to get really excited about, and he has exciting potential.

grrrrr

I'm almost at the point where I'd take a move to the cal league. It would be crazy fun to see the numbers Baez, Soler, Vogelbach & Almora would put up if we moved to Lancaster.

Bakersfield might have an opening, which would be in the Cal League North (historically less offensively-friendly than the Cal League South).

Bakersfield's ballpark sounds insane... 354 feet to CF?

Logan Watkins is having quite an impressive season, as a soon to be 23 year old w/the Smokies. He's walking a lot, and hitting pretty decently also (.282/.381/.405). How's his glove? Chance he has an impact with the big league club?
