CUBS have been outscored 23-19 in their last 5 games (4-1).

Go CUBS !!

Of course, the disclaimer being that 17 of those 23 runs were scored by the Mets in 1 game. Remove that outlier, and the Cubs are 4-0, having outscored their opponents 18-6.

Travis Wood gets the get away day line up...poor guy.

Johnson CF

Castro SS

Rizzo 1B

Baker RF

Soto C

Mather LF

Barney 2B

Valbuena 3B

Wood P

Since wins are not important this year there is no excuse to sit LaHair. If they think he has any future with the Cubs, they need to give him a legitimate chance against left handed pitchers. Especially when this team has struggled so much against left handed starters.

LaHair has a .344 OPS and 21 K's in 43 PAs against LHP. He would certainly make things worse against LHP compared to, well, anyone else on the roster.

There's your answer.

No point willfully uglying up his numbers while they try to trade him.

If the players voted him in, that might have been a couple weeks ago when he did look like the second best 1B in the NL. It's pretty shocking there are two Cubs though.

So LaHair is an All-Star and.........He's not in the lineup.

Starlin Castro is an All-Star. Bryan LaHair gets in too. Great story.

Television isn't an option for me today, going to follow online. Tribune website says there will be a rain delay, any word on how long it is expected to be?

The radar doesn't look like it will last too long. Maybe until 2? Just a guess though.

Thanks, we could certainly use some of that here (KY). My front yard is totally brown and it would take a jackhammer to make a dent in it now.
