What Cub prospects, if any, have the best chance to make this years game?

I would say Baez, but I'm not sure if he's had enough AB's or played in enough games to qualify.

Rizzo if he's still in the minors. There's no ABs or games played qualifications so Baez could easily go though they tend to shy away from sending prospects in low-A. Jackson has an outside shot.

I could see Baez and Lake.

I'll be shocked if Rizzo isn't in the majors, and do they try to avoid people who have already played in the game? Not sure if they do, but Jackson played in Anaheim, plus he's having a down year.

And Jae-Hoon Ha is the Cubs lone representative for the Futures Game. Guess he's the best South Korean in the minors (they went with Bogarts, Profar and Lindor at SS so no room for Hak-Ju Lee).

He also has an uglier offensive line than Ha

Guess they didn't even bother putting Rizzo on the roster knowing he'd have to be removed within a few days.

That and you need to have a guy on every team. Singleton is the Astros' lone representative on either roster.

BA's capsule on Ha:

Jae-Hoon Ha, of

Team: Double-A Tennessee (Southern)

Organization: Cubs

The Scoop: Ha was a catcher when the Cubs signed him, but he has developed into one of the best defensive outfielders in the system. Ha still has to learn to walk a little more as he doesn't have enough power to profile as a slugging outfielder.

Ill be at this, looking forward to it. Man they didn't pick a very interesting cub though.

The US rotation is sick.

Barnes, Bauer, Bundy, Cole, Hultzen, Meyer, Odorizzi, Taillon, Walker and Wheeler.

Yeah I am fired up for that. I am an autograph collector, yeah dork I know, and can't wait to knock some of these guys out.

i really hate a couple of the guys that do this at sounds games since they are typically in my way when i'm in my seat (i always sit by the visitors bullpen)

I'm one of those guys, but I always try to do it way before game starts so I'm not standing in front of people in their seat. I do hate the people who stand there until the very LAST second before game starts before they head to their seats. Minor league games are pretty easy though because every time I've gone to one, I've always asked for a ticket that's next to the dugout and 99% of the time they're available.

At the big league level I graph before the game starts when the players arrive at the stadium. At the minors I went the other day and got a ticket right by where I knew I could get Baez right away. Took me two seconds and then I was sitting. The only thing I can't stand are the guys who do it who clearly aren't showering. Well that and the guys who try to catch bp balls that guys are trying to give to my kids. The players usually yell at them though.

I am going to all the ASG events this year. I'm pretty excited about the Futures Game. Was hoping to see more Cubs, but it should still be awesome.

that's awesome...was it hard to get tickets to each of the events? I really want to go to an All Star game at some point in my life, although I hear it's rather boring.

I didn't go to the Futures Game when it was in Anaheim because it was lumped with the Fan Fest, something I had no interest in and cost nearly $100/ticket including the fees. The Futures Game was the only part I had any interest in; I have very little interest in the actual ASG.

For the futures game I paid 45 dollars a ticket and i'm ten rows deep. Its a bit pricey, but not terrible.

I live 3 minutes from Kauffman Stadium and am a season ticket holder. I have 16 tickets to the Futures Game and 8 to everything else because my wife and I have large families and everybody wanted to go. The whole deal cost us about $4500. Half of our seats are real nice though. 11th row and a little past first base. The other half are decent infield upper deck seats. You can buy Futures Game tickets on StubHub for $8.

I hear some people say it's one of the best things a father and son could do. My dad and 2 of my brothers are sitting in our good seats for the actual ASG. I'm really excited.
