I hope this ends up like the Jason LaRue trade, in which we only surrender a dollar.

Clearly you don't understand the value of a dollar.

I was actually gonna add "though that's probably too much."

But, was there really no better alternatives?

A Steak and Shake coupon which expires tomorrow and a 1987 Topps Chico Walker and not a penny more, but I expect them to throw in a PTBNL

Here's a list of players we'll be inviting to camp......This guy here is dead. Who the [expletive] forgot to cross Hill off the list?

Hopefully we're not giving up anymore than a wade boggs card and a bowl of rice pilaf.

Also, I got into an argument w/ my brother about the value (or lack there of) of Koyie Hill. He prefers hill to Castillo because Castillo is "a lazy bum" who can't frame pitches.

someday we will have a gm who is immune to the allure of the aged white scrapper guy who somehow "plays the game the right way" despite completely sucking.

unfortunately, between this and reed johnson, it's pretty apparent that we don't have that gm today.

the only way this makes sense is if the cba has a provision that says backup catchers get paid by the hand and the new market inefficiency is finding a way to pay people less than league minimum

Hope Castro stays healthy or else we might sign Neifi Perez.

i didn't realize this happened until i checked the cubs' box score from today's game and saw k. hill in the lineup. then i started hoping that there was a ken or kevin or kieran hill who i just hadn't heard about before.

Damn, that could be pretty traumatic. I think you handled it pretty well by hoping for a Kieran or Kevin. I'm sure someone dropkicked their dog that found out that way.

Or frantically checked their calendar in hopes that it was April 1st.
