I need to get me one of those jobs where people give me money to write down the stupid thoughts that cross my mind. Cause I got a lot of stupid thoughts, but there's other people who are apparently much better at monetizing that ability.

Well it is about a subject in which this board appears to have an interest. I don't believe in curses, of course, but to the extent that the ballpark prevents them from playing the requisite amount of night games, or if volatile environmental conditions compromise preparation, tear it down and make it a housing project and move the team to Skokie (plan outlined in a previous post).

It's been a few years. Time to beat the drum again, elicit a little more outrage, generate a little more profit.

I saw this pop up on a newsfeed and was hoping for something decent since it was the WSJ, but man, that was hideous. Stupid me for thinking it would be an examination of how local businesses and politics impact the financial ability of the club and even the physical condition of the stadium itself.

Yeah, there's a good number of reasons to legitimately argue that the Cubs would be better off with a new stadium, but the author just airballed the thing.

What, you don't think those creeping shadows are the source of our woe?

This article was great. I've always felt like a Buddhist but I didn't quite know how to put it into words.

Wrigley Field to WSJ: "You first"

Not to veer this off the tracks, if it was ever on them, but the WSJ really has become a toilet.
