Andre Dawson was at Anderson's Book Store for a book signing in Naperville last night. Did anyone go see him? I've met him a few times and found him to be soft-spoken and a gentleman. One of those players you wonder if he had an injury free career, what numbers would be have put up.

I was at the game last night. Can't fault Dempster at all. Gotta find some offense.

No, but wish I would have known that my dad is in Naperville and probably would have gone.

Your run-on sentence makes it sound like Dawson is your dad :)

A friend of mine played for the Marlins in 2006. He said the highlight of spring training (other than getting the starting CF job) was having breakfast with Andre Dawson just about each morning. He said he was a very soft spoken guy, but was a wealth of information and learning opportunities.

when i was little, andre dawson was my original favorite player. i would spend all day drawing pictures of cubs players and hanging them on my wall. eventually i moved on to ryne sandberg, because it was too hard to draw black people (don't ask). I wish i would have known sandberg was a dumb idiot and dawson would be awesome forever.

At least you're not ALL bad. I'll give you credit for your Dawson love.
