Here is today's Phil Rogers article. Someone should FJM this article which contains such great nuggets as:

Tyler Colvin shouldn't have hustled to get to 3rd and he wouldn't have gotten hit in the chest by that bat.

Tyler Colvin is much better than Ian Stewart purely based on the 25 games this season.

Theo added David DeJesus for his "professionalism"

AJ Pierzynski was solid last year with a .728 OPS

AJ Pierzynski is a "solid bet" to have an OPS better than .769 this year

Because Posada and Varitek played until they were 39, AJ deserves another contract (Did he not know they sucked the last couple years of those contracts?)

Daniel Hudson and Chris Sale are good pitchers because they were married and/or had kids in college.

How does this asshat keep his job?

Uh, dude, Colvin's numbers are awesome, and totally not all similar to the ridiculously slugging-skewed numbers he put up in 2010 and he totally, totally doesn't have 16 k's to 1 walk.

Funny, I was just checking on how Colvin was doing before I saw this thread. Here's a fun tidbit:

Games not played at Coors Field

Stewart: .169/.247/.260/.507

Colvin: .211/.200/.263/.463

He also blamed the Cubs lack of runs scored on Ian Stewart and David DeJesus. DeJesus, of the .352 OBP, is the reason the Cubs aren't scoring runs. I razzed Rogers about this on Twitter this morning.

Ironically, DeJesus leads the Cubs in runs scored.

Paying Phil Rogers to analyze baseball is like paying Aaron Miles to play baseball.

He spewed at least some of that article to Mully and Hanley this morning too. I know I heard him talking about Pierzynski/Posada/Veritek.
