am I the only one who starts singing soundgarden songs every time I go in one of these threads?

Which one?

Well, the obvious one, which leads to others.

Probable Starters

Iowa: RHP Randy Wells (1-0, 5.25 ERA, 12 IP, 7 K, 3 BB)

Tennessee: RHP Nick Struck (1-1, 2.25 ERA, 12 IP, 15 K, 3 BB)

Daytona: TBD

Peoria: LHP Willengton Cruz (0-2, 12.46 ERA, 4.1 IP, 2 K, 3 BB)

It should be Austin Kirk's turn in the rotation but Daytona still has it listed as TBD.

Cruz is another guy to dream on. Very projectable, has room to add velo, needs much better command. Like Liria and Peralta, except he's a lefty. Jeffry Baez IS in EXST, my guess is he'll start off in Mesa.

Cruz with a much better outing this time around.

Being shown up by Liria, though.

Brett Jackson just struck out against Aaron Heilman. I'm officially worried about his ability to make contact against awful pitchers!

Liria was the guy I remember getting talk last year. He has a change up?

I wonder what Vitters is doing when he's out. He's not injured so it must be some coaching time. Easy contact is a great skill to have, especially at his size and age.

As much as I like Jackson, I'm pretty much convinced he's going to strike out ~30% of the time as a big leaguer. If that's the case, what's the best we could reasonably hope for in terms of a projected batting average? Even with the high strikeout rate in the minors, he's surprisingly been able to put up pretty strong batting averages at each level.

John Andreoli sure does get on base alot. .517 OBP. Doesnt seem to have much power though.

I wonder if there's any legitamacy to Valbenas early numbers or if it's just the PCL working it's magic? With he and Cardenas rakng down there, DeWitt could be on borrowed time.
