well technically i should get to pick now (after jeff) since everyone else who botched a pick was afforded the opportunity to do it over, but i don't really want anyone and nobody has offered to trade with me, so i'll just pass.

in the future, i think this should be the rule (since it's easy to miss that a player is already owned or has been drafted earlier) - if someone is aware of the mistake then stop the draft right after that pick and notify the owner who was wrong; if the next person or people go without anyone realizing the mistake, then the person who screwed up gets to go but can't have the player or players picked after their mistake.

1) From now on, I will be passing in this draft.

2) You all do realize that the season starts tomorrow, oops today, or since it is Japan perhaps yesterday. But the point is the drafts should be over, the line-ups legal, it is time to play ball.

by the way, i'm going to need picks in rounds 3-20 in the prospect draft since we have unlimited benches this year.

lol

haven't the mods reduced our reserves yet?

We should be at three.

Is the prospect's draft officially over? Bazingas picked up a couple of minor leaguers so is it ok to start picking up players???

I think he's referring to Tim bumping rosters up really high during the draft. Team pages don't say you're illegal if you have more than 3 reserves now (not that that's an excuse for having 7 or 8 reserves).

yeah, don't know what's going on with that.

I'm just going by what we did last season. Once the season started the prospect draft was halted and those of us who still needed to fill positions had to scour the free agent market.

the prospect draft, for better or worse, is still clearly going on.

good lord, this should be the last time we do this prospect draft thing. complete chaos. if people want to draft 19 year olds in the regular draft from now on, go nuts.

At this point, though, this needs to keep moving. Chuck had plenty of time now, so it should be DJ's turn.

I don't think we can keep going since players have already been picked up via waivers.

Picks can keep happening. If I'm instructed to drop the players I picked up I'm more than happy to do so:

G.Concepcion

R.Golden

N.Molina

I don't blame anyone for following what happened last year, we just need to keep moving. How much time is sufficient to make a pick? 6 hours? Less?

There should be no reason you could pick up those players outside of the prospect draft while it's still going on if that's what you did,

Jesus, people.

Perhaps someone else needs to step in as commish since I clearly don't have the time right now to police what is going on.

here's how i think the various cluster fucks should be handled.

1) teams with illegal rosters don't get points scored from today's game and will continue to not get any points as long as their rosters remain illegal.

2) mooch has to drop the prospects he picked up, as the prospect draft was still going on.

3) mercy kill the prospect draft after round 3, then a free agent free for all. if a guy was SOOOOO important to you, you should have taken him in the first 3 rounds.

4) you get 6 hours to pick in the prospect draft, then you get skipped.

5) if you pick someone who has already been picked in the prospect draft, a) you're a dum dum b) the draft continues as though you had made a legit pick c) if you discover you flubbed up, you can pick at that point, obviously choosing from whatever's left when you figure out you're a dum dum.
