Oh my god, there's meatball and then there's that article.

What's truly scary is thinking about the percentage of Bear fans who will read that article, and nod their heads in silent agreement.

Ugh.

They won't be nodding in silence, you will be able to hear their deep heavy breaths heaving out of their gaping pie holes.

Tice is really saying some good things and hopefully that translates well for the team. I cant wait to see what type of weapons they try to bring in here to help out Jay.

Tice can say what he wants but this thing has disaster written all over it.

MOBILE, Ala. — When the Chicago Bears resume their quest to find a passing game coordinator/quarterbacks coach next week, they’ll do so by moving to Plan B.

The Bears offered the job to Greg Olson, the only man to interview for the job, but he turned it down before becoming the quarterbacks coach of the Jacksonville Jaguars, a source told the Tribune.

Greg Olson was a terrible pick and he was their #1 option? This is getting absurd. The Bears have made it known they have no confidence in Tice figuring out the passing game.

I think Jacksonville threw in the title as Assitant Head Coach, but yeah this is a bit disturbing, nonetheless.

I'm not talking about losing out on him, offering passing game coordinator when others offer OC/asst HC means you are going to lose. I just think it's crazy he was the one they offered the job to.

Well they want someone to help Tice with passing because he doesn't know how to do it. But really, they don't know how to hire someone to do it, in order to show Tice how to do it.

Poor Jay probably sits at the bar some nights shaking his head.

I'm only half joking: as soon as they give Jay the power to audible, he should just start running the offense himself through audibles.

no, because that limits the amount of plays he can call. he should just call the plays in the huddle

I know they interviewed Rod Chudsinksi two years ago for Offensive Coordinator, did he pass on the job, or did the Bears pass on him? If the Bears pass on him, what a huge error. This guy is on the verge of being a head coach in the NFL. The Bears really struggle with getting good people here on the offensive side.

Three different people at Senior Bowl mentioned Stevie Johnson and the Bears in same sentence. Hes been working on new deal with Bills.

What three people, but yes please

Forget the people, what were the rest of the words in those sentences?

The Chicago Bears (probably won't have a chance to sign) Steve Johnson.

he's not really the big receiver that we need. he's more of a johnny knox-type.

He's as close to being a "big receiver" as he is to being a Knox type. At least he's a real receiver and not just a guy who goes out for passes.

My implication by asking what 3 people was to say/ask about how legitimate the likelihood would be of us getting him. Who was saying this, random speculation or people who would really know? And yes please because he would really help our we corps

football outsiders doesn't see them as being much different. knox has more value per play, johnson has more total value.

i'd rather have aw big target.

This. Stevie Johnson is a maddening type of player. Also the Bears have completely blown the task of getting a real OC that knows the passing game.

knox's drop rate is better than johnson's, i believe, as johnson has had some pretty notorious drops, but johnson is a little better at getting open.

i don't really remember johnny making many drops, but i do remember him falling down a lot.
