The White Sox traded reliever Jason Frasor back to the Blue Jays. Considering the traded Edwin Jackson and Mark Teahen for him and Zach Stewart, they didn't get a lot back.

They get a pair minor leaguers pitchers for him, Miles Jaye and Daniel Webb...

The hard-throwing Webb, 22, spent most of last summer at Class A Lansing, where he finished 4-5 with a 5.59 ERA. He was an 18th round draft choice in 2009, but was paid $450,000 – three times baseball’s recommended money – for signing after saying he would attend college. At one time he had been projected to go as high as the second round.

Jaye, who just turned 20, was a 17th round draft choice in 2010 and was 3-3 with a 3.00 ERA in 13 starts and four relief appearances at Rookie League Bluefield.

Kenny Williams is a crzay person. But this move almost definitely means he's going to go hard after Cespedes.

I'm not seeing how you came to that conclusion.

I should have said this move AND the Quentin move. Saves them over 10 mill and they have been rumored to go after him anyway, now they've shaved some money off their payroll.

I like this move. I know, there's some folks that think he should've taken a supplemental pick for Frasor, but he gets two intriguing young arms. Webb was arguably the more hyped of the two out of the their draft year, but I'm far more intrigued with Jaye right now, a projectable kid with already solid velo and some makings of decent secondary offerings.

Can't imagine a more miscellaneous transaction than this. This being said, it's not like the Sox gave up a ton for Frasor. They were looking to move a starter when Peavy came back due to the surprise season of Phil Humber(shame on them for thinking Peavy could stay healthy for any length of time) and they gave up Jackson as easily as they did because they got Toronto to agree to take Mark Teahens contract off their hands because they knew St. Louis wanted Jackson as part of the Rasumus deal and they also saw Stewart as a decent ceiling young pitcher for the future.
