Well, at least I don't need to waste any more time watching the NBA this season. I wish I would have known this would happen, so I could have ignored the whole regular season too.

I'm already tired of the meatball reactions to this series. "Blow the team up!" "Gar and Paxson need to go!" "Blargley Dargledy Doo!"

Our injuries were the equivalent of, say, Rondo and Garnett out and Pierce playing hurt, or Wade and Bosh out and James hurt. You just don't win it all when your top 3 players are toast.

This was not a championship team even if they had Rose. This was the same team to me that lost in the playoffs last year and had Derrick carry them all the way to the ECF. You can't win with role players in the NBA. It doesn't happen. Period.

2011 Mavericks say "yo!"

I think that's what pisses me off most. Well never get to know if the 2012 Bulls at full strength could have beaten the Heat. I think it's ludicrous to say they had no shot based off of last year. First of all, they played a pretty competitive series with Rose and Noah nowhere near 100% and Asik out. Add to that the addition of Rip and subtraction of Bogans and you might be able to beat the Heat. Oh well.

This series made it extremely evident that the rest of the team is just filled with role players. You can't compare Deng and Noah to guys like Wade and Bosh. There's such a gigantic drop off from the Bulls best player to their second best player. That needs to be addressed.

At least this year (and last year somewhat) taught me that the regular season doesn't mean [expletive]. I'll make sure not to get frustrated at all from November until April next year.

I dunno. I think this team can keep anyone in the league in the 80s over the course of a series. A healthy Rose and we would've smashed Philly and feeling confident.

It's literally been less than a year since it last happened.

And it's essentially pointless to point to the Heat as some kind of team-building model. If they're your standards for "superstar collecting" or whatever the hell people are saying when they scream "ONE STAR AND A BUNCH OF ROLE PLAYERS" then you're doomed to nothing but disappointment; the Heat are an anomaly, not the standard.

Sooooooo, just like every other sport then?

Tough spot honestly. I personally don't think this current Bulls team was ever winning a championship. That said, I can't say I know that for sure obviously. Do you give this exact group, with maybe a minor tweak or two another year or do you try and add a big piece and decimate quite a bit of what you've built and not know how players will mesh?

I think it's essential that the bulls do whatever it takes for Howard.

How are you going to get him to like the city of Chicago?

We don't need to blow the team up, we just need to get Deng and Noah to take a pay cut, amnesty Boozer, have Nicola Mirotic become the next Dirk, draft the next superstar with the Bobcats unprotected pick in 2016 and find a way to replace the Boozer money with an elite secondary, perimeter scorer (Harden) and BOOM we win every title until like 2025.
