What happened to Noah, anyway? I only caught parts of the second half on the radio, which were largely the announcers swinging wildly on Korver's shooting.

edit: and Korver wound up with a 27-7-6 night on 10-16 shooting?

Noah was sick I guess

Didn't watch but I checked my phone yesterday and saw Korver's numbers. Pretty much made up for missing all those open shots against Orlando I'd say.

The Orlando Magic would like to seriously engage the Bulls in trade talks for Dwight Howard, but the All-Star center’s apparent reluctance to make a long-term commitment to Chicago has all but killed the discussions, league sources told CBSSports.com.

The feeling among rival executives remains that the Magic seem intent on rolling the dice and keeping Howard for the rest of the season, hoping a long playoff run, emotional ties to Orlando and an extra year and $29 million they could offer would persuade him to stay beyond this season. But the move would be highly risky, given that Howard has refused to publicly commit to the Magic — a stance that sources view as a strong sign that hed leave as a free agent if he isn’t traded.

“He’s telling everyone he’s leaving,” one league source said Sunday.

You know, I wasn't even paying attention, this deal wouldn't even include Noah. It'd be Asik, Deng, Boozer and the Charlotte pick for Howard and Turkoglu.

I'd strongly consider that even without an extension. Don't know if I'd do it or not but I'd strongly consider it.

I'm thinking there's some misreporting going on there. That deal is a dream for the Bulls.

[expletive], I'd be pissed if they didn't do that.

I don't know if I want to break up a team for a few games though the Bulls with Howard could easily win this year and if he were to leave you could still build around Noah and Rose.

Wouldn't be able to do much with the cap situation after that, and Rose's prime years probably end up wasted. Still, I think you have to do it and hope Howard stays. Does he get the extra year from the Bulls if they trade for him midseason?

Howard will walk if we do that deal with no extension in place.

I dunno. We'd still be able to offer more money than any other team, and if we got deep in the playoffs or even won a championship? It's definitely a risk though.

It would be hard to turn that down. It is risky though because if Dwight left and uou did not win it all this year, you are stuck without havong another teal shot for a few seasons.

Yes, the pressure to win a title this year would be immense because that's the only way I'd see him staying. The guy just isn't interested in Chicago as a destination for whatever reason.

The only way he'd resign with Chicago if he came here to finish out the season is if Rose and the rest of the Bulls went out of their way to hype up Howard as "the man" in Chicago which isn't going to happen. Here's the thing, I'd like to call Howard a douchebag for not wanting to go to the best situation to win, but I can't rip on LeBron for joining Wade and moving to #2 on his team and then rip Howard for not wanting that. It's a little different of a situation, but similar IMO.

It'd be more like CP3 and Blake (or even Magic and Kareem) if you ask me. I don't see anyone getting on either of those guys with ridiculous "oh whose team is it really?" discussions.

An elite big/little combination gets all the basketball purists aroused. Lebron and Wade's games are too similar.

Your problem makes no sense. Why would you rip on Lebron for doing that? It was a perfectly reasonable and understandable move to make. The reason he deserves to be ripped on is for how he did it.

Been said all along: Unless DHoward gives word he’d sign extension with #Bulls, all talk/trade possibilities/etc. total non-starter

Also, his "being the man" stance makes no sense. His problems with Orlando stem from, what I can tell, being just that. The reason the Magic don't have a solid shot at making the Finals is because he is THE man on that team.
