What happened?

 

KC scored to end the half on a Hail Mary. Urlacher tried to pick it and Conte tipped it out of his hands and into McCluster.

Mid game good news:

 

ESPN's Adam Schefter and the Chicago Sun Times both report that the Bears will let offensive coordinator Mike Martz go when his contract expires after this season.

Martz has been connected to head-coaching vacancies at Arizona State and UCLA, suggesting he may already be plotting his future. His pass-heavy system hasn't worked out in Chicago with a line that struggles to pass protect and inconsistent play from the outside receivers. The departure of Martz wouldn't necessarily result in a systematic change for the Bears' offense, however. OL coach Mike Tice is the leading candidate to take over, and would likely keep most of the terminology and plays in place.

 

I'd like to hope this news was based on the first half.

I'm not confident a Caleb Hanie-led offense can score 5 or more points in the second half.

 

yeah, i don't understand why pro teams bat at the ball like that. that's what the offense wants you to do. catch the ball.

denver is going to absolutely destroy us.

 

Denver has fewer yards on offense than both the Chiefs had BEFORE that TD drive.

 

But they have the Son of God on their team, they will win that Vikings game.

So Lewis is out too? That's pretty much all of our good players on offense.

 

I swear he was at RT on that last play. I didn't see the number, but I saw dreads at the end of the OL.
