Levine about to have another chat in 10 minutes or so.

unfortunately, levine is still a moron. i have no idea why i am reading this.

Alex (Whitmore)

If we trade Matt Garza to the Yankees or Rangers, Do you think we'll get the same level of talent that we traded to get him from the Rays?

Bruce Levine

(12:04 PM)

So far none of those guys have really contributed to the major league team. So I wouldn't get too crazy about what they gave up.

Yea. I only follow Levine for rumors. His opinions are terrible.

While I agree Levine's opinion's are pretty odd, I don't see anything wrong with that exact statement. Archer's ceiling may have already gone from a frontline starter to a closer or set up guy. Lee has question marks and none of Guyer, Chirinos, or Fuld are going to be everyday starters, or at least good ones. The Garza trade looks much better on our end than it did when we made it.

I took it more as Levine thinks the package we gave up isn't going to come back and haunt us. And we should hope for better luck in what we get for him than what Tampa received from us.

Bryce Harper hasn't contributed to the major league team yet. Maybe we can get him for Marmol.

He based his opinion on the fact that none of them have contributed to the majors yet. That's absurd. He's never been one to have a sophisticated view about asset valuation, so I'm not sure why you would assume he meant something other than what he said.
