P.S. Not really, it's lame. They did change it this year so that instead of 3 general OF gold gloves, they're doing one GG for each position, so there's a LF, CF, and RF GG instead of 3 OF GG's.

Gordon had a decent season in the field, but Brett Gardner was arguably the best defensive player in the league. Had a 3.2 dWAR, which led all of baseball, and also led the league in total zone runs.

 

And Ethier is a terrible fielder; boggles my mind he won it. This award really is a sham. They should just stop giving it out.

Weird thing is... I think he was like 5th in NL RF in UZR this year. He had something like 5.3 UZR. UZR can be weird/fluky at times. Ethier past 3 years were like -7.2/-13.5/-16.5 before this year of 5.3 or whatever it is exactly.
