The Red Sox are pissing me off with this. It's like their holding him hostage. The guy agreed to a Cubs contract. Now they're being greedy and selfish wanting all top prospects for a guy who already agreed to terms. This compensation should just be courtesy and they should accept a couple average prospects or cash. Not try to friggin rob the farm that your GM that you supposedly highly respect and has done for you over the years is going over to.

I've seen it at least 3-4 times. I love it. Not sure what David's beef with it is? I think he think's it's a chick flick and real men like him don't do chick flicks!

Eh, I think some perspective is being lost here.

 

Yeah, it's frustrating, but we're talking about a holdup of a few days at the most. It's not like the postseason is done yet, so nobody's really missing out on too much time.

This Phil Rogers quote might have already been posted already but I have a question

 

WEEI Radio in Boston, which has the Red Sox contract and is plugged in, reported that the Cubs are hoping the Red Sox will settle for cash but that the Red Sox – who, by the way, are in a terrific bargaining position at this point – are pushing for two or three legitimate prospects.

 

Can someone make a case to me why the Red Sox are in a terrific position here? Becuase they really arent, and it makes no sense to me why someone would think that.

I'm sure they want to make the announcement before the World Series starts though so Theo can start putting together his offseason plans. Once the World Series starts, Theo has to continue to remain in limbo for another week or so.
