[expletive]. i'm facing the 1st place team in the division and tootie and RWD are facing teams that aren't being actively managed.

Yea, yea. There's no crying in fantasy baseball.

This could get really interesting if you lose and both me and Tootie win - presumptive I know. That'll be a 3 way tie going into the final week and I currently have you both on H2H tiebreakers (2-0 v Tootie, 1-0 against you).

I believe the tiebreakers go:

1. H2H

2. Division Record

3. Points Scored

It should be:

1. H2H

2. Points

3. Division Record

i would argue it should be points first.

it would be pretty f'ed up (and i don't know if it's possible) if there was a 4 way tie in our division and the team with the most points was left out. in other words, you'd be tied for the best record in the division and have the most points...clearly the best team in the division...but finish 4th. that would be a pretty absurd result.

i also just noticed we, for some reason, have an unbalanced schedule? RWD only had to play bazingas (the 1st place team in the division) once? and, of course that means bazingas only had to play RWD once too.

that's really dumb.

I believe that's because of the way the schedule worked this year due to the combined first week of the year. If things work out the same next year, I'd probably recommend making the final one week long and having everyone play a full regular season.

so the 2 best teams in the east (other than mine) only played each other once. meanwhile, the team i only played once has an injured scott baker in his lineup, a healthy mccann on his bench and is set to get 5 starts this week. good system.

would dropping 2 teams from the league allow us to have a balanced schedule, keep the championship 2 weeks, but not count the last week of the regular season?

I'd rather just find managers who will stick with their teams through the season. I like the level of talent distribution in this league. smaller leagues get stars just about everywhere.

I think you have to have H2H as your 1st tie-breaker in a H2H league. That only makes sense otherwise what would be the point of playing a H2H league?

I would do this on a 2 way tie, unsure about a 3 or 4 way tie though. At that point I might go straight to total points. After that I say we take the team that has the most gingers on it.

i don't really think this week matters that much to me (unless RWD or tootie get beat this week). win or lose, my matchup vs. RWD next week will determine who gets in between those 2 teams.

Yeah, I think it was just the result of how MLB changed the start of the season to the middle of the week. I just don't think anybody thought about it at the time. We may have the same issue at the end of the MLB season, since that is Wednesday this year where it always used to be Sunday. That would only affect the teams playing for the championship (i.e. not me).

Whoa...says who that my team is not actively managed...I think I WILL beat RWD this week :)

Mr. Kershaw is trying to do something about that.

Nolasco [expletive] destroyed my chances last night though. That's two weeks in a row with a -30 start. It was more than enough to cost me a 2 point loss last week...

yep, it is extremely difficult to combat a disaster start. lost close games the last 2 weeks, and i had a -22 start in one week and a -19 start in the other.

Victorino suspended, so Dunn in the lineup for a couple days until he comes back.

My memory is fuzzy on this, but can we substitute for suspended players mid-week ?

I would think so, since you can substitute for injured players. It seems to me to be the same principle, substituting for a player who is unable to play.

I thought so, just like an injured player.
