also, not so sure the guy who cuts up his blockbuster card in the store is in any position to be telling me i suck at life.

Wow. Did you lose your job over that or something? I suck at life because Blockbuster charged my credit card for late fees on a movie that wasn't returned late? I was asked if I wanted to join the class action suit that was filed and won against Blockbuster for charging late fees on movies that weren't late, but I figured cutting up my card was good enough. But that this is something YOU would hold onto and use against me in a fantasy baseball league is further icing on the cake that you suck at life.

The truth must hurt for you to reach for such ridiculous straws.

But, it's just further evidence that one or both of us needs to be gone at the end of the season. Either way is fine by me. I'd prefer to stay, but not if it means dealing such a juvenile delinquent for another season.

oh, and robert brings up ben sheets.
You stop bitching every damn time somebody else uses the "spirit of the rules" argument after you used it yourself to unfairly get your way and I'll stop bringing up you-know-who.

just to clarify...because you think i "broke" the rules with sheets, everyone else should be able to break the rules. my sheets incident opened a pandora's box of rule-breaking that cannot be undone. or is it just people can break the rules against me only due to what has come to be known as the sheets incident of 2009?

i just want to get your argument clear so its full stupidity is as obvious as possible.

What I object to is your attitude that it's OK to use the "spirit of the rules" argument when it works for you but not when it works for somebody else.

Can everyone please knock it off? Please just vote on the rules changes and leave it at that. There's only a few weeks left this year and we should be able to agree on the EXACT rules for next year and have everyone live by them.

It has mostly to do with you acting like a [expletive] lunatic and the way you respond to everything. If you approached things differently it would be one thing, but every single issue revolves around you and gets blown up like this it is more than just a pattern. Really this has been going on for about 4 years now and people are just tired of it. The other 15 managers can find a way to agree and move on, you don't seem to have that ability.

yeah i'm pretty sure that if the extent of abuck's contribution was "hey you're breaking the rules" then things would degenerate into name calling and insults. his riling people up until they snap, then saying "whoa easy there crazy guy" is obnoxious and childish.

but adam did say that he wasn't going to make any more posts directed at brian, which he seemed to be abiding by until brian flipped out on him in the chat. just ignore each other for the next 2 months and then after the season decide who goes away.

i'll just say that if you think that i was the one that started this particular argument by acting like a lunatic, you need to go back and read this thread and the chat again.

Don B(10:47:18AM): God damn it's fun to make you bitch and cry

Don B(10:47:24AM): you're a fucken baby

Don B(10:49:29AM): I didn't edit [expletive]

Don B(10:49:31AM): idiot

Don B(10:49:40AM): I accidentally clicked on edit, but it says da same thing

Don B(10:50:21AM): you get your wish, and I dropped harang because I don't want to listen to you piss and moan about it. Nobody else has a problem with picking up a 7th start if circumstances keep you from getting yours.

Don B(10:50:46AM): I'm about to not be able to take playing in a league with a whiny bitch like you anymore.

Don B(10:52:34AM): I didn't intentionally not start bedard, just didn't get to my computer that day. If I had to drop somone to get a 7th start, I'd gladly do it. However, I have an empty spot, so I wouldn't have to drop anyone. Big fucken deal.

Don B(10:52:56AM): You have no idea about "spirit of da rules"

yeah, look at me acting crazy. clearly, i'm the one who started with the name calling and personal attacks.

i haven't said one word to brian until he started with this...

Face it, Adam. You suck and life and there really shouldn't be any reason for the rest of us to have to get pulled into your misery.

again, wow, i'm really out of line there.

obviously the biggest problem here is the rules as they currently stand, so i'm glad the voting is going how it is in the poll. a change in that rule will eliminate 95% of our rules disagreements and hopefully these spats.

and for the ten trillionth time, i do NOT have a problem with people doing whatever they need to do to get their 7th start (as brian said i did in the chat). it's just that doing that is not in line with the current rules. we can change it immediately and i'd be perfectly fine with it.

For playoff seeding head-to-head is the first tie-breaker, followed by divisional record and then total points. For draft positions total points is the tie-breaker (I don't think we've discussed what the next tie-breaker would be).

on the topic of rule changes...is head to head currently the first tie-breaker? if so, i think total points would make more sense.

i agree that total points are a better tie-breaker.

i'd also like to discuss the cutoff for position players burning an exemption, because 50 PA's seems to low in comparison with 5 starts or 10 games pitched for pitchers. not a big deal, just think 100 PA's would put it more in line with the pitching standards.

I'm partial to head to head as the 1st tiebreaker(as its a head to head league), though total points would benefit me more this season. Total points does make some sense though. In the event of a 3 way tie I would move to total points first.

DL'ed alex cobb and added brandon mccarthy.

also, why is there a rule that you can have no more than 15 starting pitchers? i added mccarthy and then got this message (i had 5 SP in the lineup, 3 on the bench, 2 on the DL, and 6 in the minors). i fixed it by dropping one of my DL guys since he won't be pitching again until next season and i wouldn't have been keeping him, but that just seemed like a pretty odd rule.

I really don't think there is such a rule. I think that's just the settings in CBS Sports. Theoretically you could have 21 starting pitchers if you used all of your bench spots, DL spots, and minor league spots on starting pitchers.

three teams make it to the playoffs from each division, correct? if so, there is going to be some battle for that last playoff spot in my division. eyes of texas should be in after winning this week, and NSBB is in really good shape as well, but after that we have quakers, who lost to the linesteppers, alamo stealth (lost to eyes of texas) and fuzzy logistics (inexplicably lost to me), so each of the four teams will be at 9-9 after this week.

the other division is not as interesting, though if tootielicious can hang on to beat the hand sanitizers, then he'll still be only one game behind the dealers.

A set number is required when setting the amount of players. I don't remember if Juan or I set it at 15, but I guess we figured 15 was enough. I guess Tim will need to raise it up even more.
