Adam,

I know Brian isn't the only one who gets tired of your lack of civility. I remember when we first started in the league, we had somevery good conversations. Those days seem long past, though.

Count me in on this line of thinking. Adam is a hypocrite when he pouts about Brian changing a rule when he himself drafts a player, then gets the commish to change the rule AFTER the fact when others don't have fair notice (I hate to continue to bring up Sheets over and over and over and over again, but it seems appropriate for pointing out Adam's hypocrisy, which he doesn't seem to get). I'm not sure I'd go as far as suggesting he be kicked out of the league, but he does take away a lot of the fun all too often. I've had multiple clashes with him.

As far as the DL issue is concerned I have no problem with a mid-season change, although I agree with Clint that one day's notice probably isn't enough (some people may be online more during the week while at work). If there's any interest in changing during the season (I wouldn't give up on that idea just because of Adam's tantrums) a better approach might be to bring it up for discussion at the beginning of the week with the idea of implementing it the following week. That would give a week for discussion and time to make roster moves. With it being a couple weeks away, maybe discussing it now with the idea of implementing it at the All-Star break would give sufficient notice. As far as reserve spots are concerned I understand the points against increasing that, so no big deal. I don't think anybody will like every rule, but those of us not named Adam probably don't take fantasy baseball so seriously that they make a federal case if they don't like a specific rule.

This argument is circular and ridiculous. Even though it is midseason, just post a poll on this and let the league vote. Everyone gets until Sunday morning to have their say and then the rule takes effect next week.

The DL discussion has gone on forever. Lets give everyone a voice (and a vote) to agree or disagree instead of having this argument which gets us nowhere.

It's Fantasy Baseball, I think we can figure this out. One firm point I will make, don't increase the reserve roster - ever.

do you "hate" to bring it up? because you sure bring it up ALL THE [expletive] TIME. he netted me like 20 points for an entire season the year i got to keep him. give it up.

also, i don't think you know what the word "hypocrisy" means.

Seconded... I've been tired of his garbage for a few years now. The civility has long gone out the window. He's a good manager, but hell to deal with on these threads.

Rules shouldn't change midseason. That simply isn't fair to those who made decisions earlier.

ironically, I remember some pretty uncivil conversations with both you and Brian (and most everyone at one point or another). [expletive] grownups guys - chill out.

Rules shouldn't change midseason.

You are probably right. But, if you look at the sticky you started up above in this forum on Extra Starts, you started that thread on June 8th. Rules probably shouldn't change midseason, but sometimes they do. ;)

Do we wait until the end of the season to decide how to punish a manager who still hasn't sent in their league fees? Do we wait until the end of the season to do something about a manager who leaves active players on the DL all year long? Do we create a rule that actually says no rule changes will be made midseason?

I think the answer is no to all of these things.

those are all completely, 100% different than what you tried to do. enough already.

Was I talking to you, Adam? I think not. But, once again you have to jump into this when I have asked over and over for you to just stop. You just can't do it, can you? I have had it with you. I'm looking for a replacement because you just can't follow a simple instruction. Good riddance.

obviously i'm not the only one who thinks it's a little odd for you to change the DL limit without notice in the middle of the season on the first day of a week in which you were dealing with a roster crunch.

what? so i'm forbidden from being involved in this expanding the DL discussion because you don't like me?

I asked you to stop with the attacks. It's a nonstop argument with you and I, for one, will enjoy no longer having to have these nonstop arguments with you. I'm done, Adam. You just couldn't leave well enough alone.

i didn't attack you. i was participating in the discussion. i didn't attack you anymore than juan did.

It's too late now, Adam. One of two things needs to happen today. You are replaced as manager or I am replaced as the commish. I will no longer stand for your childishness.

give me a break.

you need to undo whatever you did to take away my access to my team. this is absurd.

It's me or you now, Adam. Or both. I'm fine with whatever the rest of the league decides, but I'm done dealing with you for another day. Sorry it had to come to this.

if you don't want to be the commissioner anymore, i said i'd do it. you don't have the right to just unilaterally take my team away from me. you're the commissioner of a fantasy baseball league, not a dictator. i didn't attack you, i didn't call you names. in fact, after my first, one-sentence post in this thread, you called me an ass. i argued with you about a rule change i thought was ridiculous. it appears others agree it was ridiculous. you don't get to just take my team away because i pointed out this rule wasn't fair.

games for today start pretty soon. fix my team so i can adjust my lineup.

good lord, guys.

I don't think it is fair to ban adam from the league at this point. While he definitely makes things difficult on the forums from time to time, he has been a good manager for a long time now.

Brian, I think you've done a great job as commissioner. It isn't always easy balancing things out, but I think that you (and Juan before you) have done very well at keeping things going and keeping things fun.

If it will help keep the league together with ALL its members, I'm willing to step up and take on the commish duties.

Seconded.

I mean really ? We're talking about Fantasy Baseball here. Differences happen. This is the reason we have a league of 16 members to try and help sort issues out when they arise.

We can chose to change the rule or not midseason, I just believe that if we're going to make rule changes, put them as polls for the league to vote and debate upon. You two (Adam and Brian) bitching back and forth to each other accomplishes nothing beyond making you both look childish. How about you both take the high road and let this go ? This is a good league, why screw with your active roles over this issue ?

If the choice is to keep Adam, then replace me. I'm done participating in anything he's involved with.

As usual, I find myself posting long after everyone else.

1) I think the right decision was made. Most rule changes should be made in the Fall after the season is over.

2) I think our DL is fine the way it is, but I would not be upset with the suggested change.

3) Remember that this is just a fantasy league. It is not that big of a deal. I would hate to see this league fall apart. It has been a lot of fun.

4) Juan was a great commish, Brian has done a good job, and Tim would be a good commish too.
