well now that i have jaime garcia, shawn marcum, kyle drabek, julio teheran, shelby miller, jacob turner, john lamb, matt harvey, zach lee and randall delgado on my roster, i'm going to be pretty irate if my pitching is not above-average about 2 years from now.

Soriano is on the DL now. He's expected to return as soon as eligible in 15 days.

You trying to say I talk a lot? :D

I'm only half way through hell week. Good to see my team isn't making things interesting at all while I'm away.

Why of course...if it is not you or Tim, Adam gets a few words in there as well

My team is kicking booty this week while I'm out of the country. Maybe I should just move overseas. :-k

mcclellan was DL'ed and lackey is coming off the DL so i swapped them.

the guy i traded for like 5 days ago is having TJS (awesome) so i put him on injured and added some other prospect.

Hey, I'm within 100 points of you (just barely).

I'm not sure that you're allowed to put Lamb on your DL. My understanding is that it's for players on major league DLs only. Others can chime in on whether they think I'm right about this.

that doesn't make any sense. if he's on a DL, he should be allowed to be placed on your DL.

So it's ok to stock pile 11-13 minor league players when you have zero intention of competing this season by burying some of them on the DL?

That's how I'm looking at it too. You need to be able to replace injured major league players so you can continue earning points at that position. That's not true at the minor league level, though, since you're not earning points even if the player is healthy and playing.

Adam Lind came off the DL. Put him in as my dh, Moved Brantley to the OF, Benched Stubbs, Moved Sands to the Minors. Dropped Bill Allen. My line-up is legal.

Only major league players on the major league DL.

Minor league players are inactive anyway, so there is no need for a minor league DL.

shane just picked up aaron harang and put him into his lineup. you can't pick up players mid-week. nobody got hurt, nobody got pushed back.

you can get seven starts. but your lineup is to be set on monday. which means you can't pick up guys mid-week/promote minor leaguers to make starts unless there is an injury or demotion to the minors or rainout or something.

you can put a total of 3 players on the injury list. everyone can "stock pile" 10 minor league players so who cares if you "stock pile" an 11th by using an injury position that isn't used by the major league team?

fyi, if the ruling is that i can't put lamb on the injured list i'll just put him on my bench and release peter bourjos or whoever.

by the way, sock it thome currently has two players "stock piled" in the minors while those players (a. oliver, j. reddick) are in the major leagues. tootielicious has a similar situation with dj lemahieu. i assume these situations will be addressed right away?

They can be addressed by you reading the rules for minor league eligibility. I also have a couple of current major leaguers on my minor league roster (Brown and Conger). You can keep players on your minor league roster even if they're in the majors until they've exceeded the limits in a single season. Once they lose minor league eligibility you can't keep them on your minor league roster unless they get sent back down in real baseball.

As previously mentioned there is no reason for putting minor leaguers on the DL, since they're inactive anyway. It would just be a loophole to allow you to exceed our limit of 10 minor leaguers. I believe the reasoning behind the minor league eligibility rule is so that you don't have to use a major league roster spot on a player who may be a star in the future but is currently a bench player. So, yes, it actually does make sense.
