Second win of the year, by 115 points. It would have been embarrassing to lose to a team with only 4 pitching starts.

Four-way tie for worst record in the league now (you, Chuck, Karen, and me).

cbs fantasy website sucks. because they didn't have a guy in their system who had been pitching in the minor leagues for like 3 years, i couldn't add him as a minor leaguer and had to wait til monday; by then, adam had traded and was looking to add more minor leaguers, so he got the guy ahead of me on the waiver wire.

That's been a problem with CBS since we started the league and a huge reason for the minor league draft.

I guess I shouldn't have waited so long to add erlin to my team.

Meanwhile players like Dave Crouthers (who retired in 2005 after being traded to the Cubs in the Sammy Sosa trade) and Dwaine Bacon are still in the database.

It seems like they have fallen further behind on adding minor leaguers this season even than in years past. There are quite a few good minor leaguers that are not in the database that have been playing for at least two seasons in the minors.

I'm heading out of the country for the remainder of the week, so I'm putting Sanchez on my bench to ensure I don't get 8 starts.

That leaves me with seven starts on Sunday - I'd better pray for sunshine in lots of cities between now and then.

You definitely caught Chuck in a brain fart.

I obviously like the deal, but if you look past the names and at the performance so far the value of Hanley + Longoria was down. Especially with Hanley having back issues right now.

Still, that's way too much proven productivity to give up in that deal. Chuck's season is pretty much over and these guys may be cheaper than in previous seasons and good cornerstones to build on.

Exactly. If Chuck was going to be paid based primarily on their down seasons, he'd be better off keeping Hanley and Longoria for fewer points than you'd expect to keep them in a nnormal offseason.

If people want to make me an offer for Hanley and his back, feel free to show me what you think he's worth at this point.

Just know that I'm not likely to respond between 4pm today and Sunday.

as long as people aren't complete morons and trade him great prospects and high draft picks for players he has no choice but to drop, his team should take a serious hit beyond this season.
