Four managers have now expressed serious interest in trading for Lincecum. Since his next start isn't until Friday I plan to wait until Thursday morning to see what the best offer is; I owe it to myself to get as much as I can. So far what seems to me like the best offer is a top OF prospect and a top C prospect (both of whom are now in the majors with at least two remaining exemptions) plus a first round pick in next year's prospect draft.

Make that five managers interested in Lincecum. Latest (and current best, in my opinion) offer is a starting 1B with two exemptions remaining, plus two pitchers in the top 40 of BA's prospect rankings, plus a first-round pick in the 2012 prospect draft.

I'm not going to win the championship this year, but I may have a say in who does. :D

the weather has been ridiculous this spring. glad i took peavy out of my lineup at the very last minute yesterday...

I was very surprised they waited out that storm and a three hour rain delay. Glad they did since I have Quentin in my other league.

Can I replace a RP during the week or are RP treated like position players - cannot be changed unless an injury or demotion to the minors?

Thanks

you cannot change out a RP mid-week unless there is an injury or demotion.

All good offers, but in the end I thought Adam's was best because it included top prospects at two premium positions.

Let the flaming begin; I have thick skin.

No flaming from me, although I think mine was a better offer. It's all your preference which is all that matters.

well i have one of the worst scores of the week but on the plus side, shelby miller struck out 12 last night (now 81 K's in 53 IP), mike trout is OPS'ing about .950 in AA as a 19 year old, jacob turner will probably be ready for the major leagues by next year and anthony rizzo homered and has an OPS near 1.200 as a 21 year old in AAA. plus i should have early draft picks next year since my team sucks.

is there a reason why i cannot add a certain minor league player immediately? it says i'm adding him on waivers and need to wait until monday morning, but i have room for a 10th minor leaguer and i obviously won't be using him on my big league club.

he must have been just added to the database.

Or recently dropped by another Roadkill manager and not yet cleared waivers. Maybe he's claiming one of the minor leaguers I dropped to make room for the prospects from the Lincecum trade.

that's not it so abuck's suggestion is probably correct. btw i hope one of the guys you're dropping is tim alderson... i didn't even know he was still playing. i saw him pitch for the altoona curve a year or two ago and his fastball didn't top 85 mph.

Nope, I dropped Ka'aihue (I haven't quite given up on Alderson yet). I forgot that I only had to drop one minor leaguer; I was able to transfer Castro to my major league DL (since that's his actual status in baseball) and I had one open pot when I promoted Chatwood.

i'd like clarification on a rule. here's the eligibility rule:

Players are eligible at their primary position, plus positions they've played 20 games last year or 10 games this year.

so say i have a guy who plays 15 games at a position this year and then the rest at another position. is he eligible at both in 2012, or just the primary position?

10 games in the current year

20 games in the previous year

In your example, he would only be eligible at the primary position in year 2.
