ps all my prospects are available for trade.

Since you don't value prospects at all, I threw an offer out there for you. Based on your logic in this thread, you should jump on a guy that's performing well in the majors for a prospect.

as much as i'd like to be the lucky 100th person you've ripped off in a trade, i'll have to decline. colon's last start was pretty bad.

Yeah, but it's for a worthless prospect, coming off a hand injury, who was awful in the majors last year! By your logic he's even more worthless.

except that's real baseball and we're playing fantasy baseball.

trading off your fantasy team on may 1st so you can maybe do well in 4 years with the prospects you've traded for is [expletive] boring.

hey maybe if you keep posting that i won't compete until 2015 it will stop being completely wrong

maybe if you cared more about prospects yours would have been good enough to steal halladay off a hapless rube like myself

He himself in this thread has acknowledged the key role that prospects have played in his success in the league.

Whether you are acquiring those prospects in hopes of riding them to cheap performance for yourself or to retain as assets for future trades doesn't matter. They are significant assets to your team.

Adam knows that quite well. Otherwise he'd go ahead and trade me Dominic Brown for Colon. He may not think he'll ever play Brown, but he definitely values him as a commodity that others will desire.

i don't think you got horribly ripped off in the trade (though i have no idea how you can trade tim the best player in the league w/o getting pineda back). i'm more surprised/disappointed that you bailed on the season on may 5.

I like this Halladay guy.

I hate my offense the past couple weeks, though. Gotta make another trade if I want to have a chance at the title, methinks...

I need to have the negative three points for Duensing reversed. He was unexpectedly used in relief tonight, and our policy has always been that points accumulated by a starting pitcher in a relief role don't count. I need every break I can get.

Talked with Chuck and he told me what to do for his team.

- Longoria off the DL (forced Polanco to the bench)

- Ibanez from Bench to starting lineup to create room on the bench

- Dropped McClouth to make room in the OF

- Put Carp on bench as 4th reserve to ensure only seven starts this week.

- Lyon to the DL

- Picked up Santos to fill the empty RP

Somewhere in there, I missed the part about sending me a check.

THAT part I'm not willing to do for him. I'll nag him about it, though.

So, did we decide if a starter gets pushed back and you can't get 7 starts if you can pick someone up to fill your seventh while keeping your roster legal?

Clint must be breathing a huge sigh of relief. Gonzales put up -23 today, but it's wiped out because the game was rained out before becoming official. Doesn't even count as one of his 7 starts since officially it didn't happen. This helps me too, because the 10 points Moreland had for my opponent are also wiped out.

I think it's OK (it should be), but I'm not certain if a final word on this issue has come yet.

ETA: I could be in that situation too. By the time the Twins announced that Duensing's next start will be skipped it was too late for me to activate Chatwood for his start tonight. If nothing else happens I'll have exactly 7 starts, but if Vazquez's start is skipped (he's currently on the bereavement list) I'll need to pick up somebody for my 7th start.

Adam correctly pointed out in the Roadkill chat room that Deven's minor league roster is illegal. He has Arrieta on his minor league roster, but he has long lost minor league eligibility. He had 18 starts last year, well over the limit. If Deven carried Arrieta on his minor league roster during the offseason that means he would in effect have had 11 keepers for this year.

i've always thought this was allowed. what i don't like is just picking up starters mid-week to get your 7 starts when there are no injuries and no one is being pushed back or whatever.

Oh thank God. I hadn't seen that yet. Roady and I are going for the lowest score ever this week!!

Looks like Kendry (excuse me, Kendrys) Morales will be a free keeper for me for 2012. He needs more surgery and is out for the entire year.
