What a horrible 0-2 pitch.

And he one-ups himself against Hawpe.

If he gets out of this, the Cubs really need to win it in the 10th.

Seriously.... I have no idea when to arrive to get my Colvin bobblehead!

Ok, now somehow get a run on an HBP, passed ball, balk, and suicide squeeze to finish off the cruddiest display of two offenses in recent memory.

You know, we really should have been throwing Stevens for 2 innings in this game and then had someone like Caridad in the dugout waiting to take his roster spot in the 2nd.

Have to see what happens come inning 13.

What position player do you think will be throwing in the 17th inning of this game?

I guess Casey Coleman could pitch...it would be 3 days rest in between starts. We have an off day tomorrow so Dempster could go on regular rest on Friday.

That only works if you have Russell start game 1.

This would be a nice time for Pena's first HR.

Truthfully, the Padres have little reason to throw Pena a hittable pitch with Samardzija on deck. The Cubs should toss Soriano in the on-deck circle and see what happens.
