Apparently jersey either died or retired so I'll get it going. I took Westwood, Rory, Mahan and Kim in a pool with restrictions on rankings. Coverage starts on ESPN at 2 central.

On 15 Tiger hits his approach, and immediately buried his head as though he'd just put it in the water. Rolled back and missed an eagle by maybe an inch. I'd love to be able to hate shots like that.

The young group (Rory, Fowler, Day) was incredible to watch. Tiger was -7 today on the last 13 holes.

Watching Tiger's back nine was like going back in time. He was all over it.

If it were the old Tiger, I'd say he were the favorite at this point. But with the new tiger you never know. Rory will be tough and if it were any other young guy I'd say he's going to fall back. But rory has been through contending at a major and been through a Ryder cup already. Will be an interesting weekend.

Actually -7 on the last 11 holes instead of 13 (it sounds a lot better when you put it that way and no bogey in those 11 holes). Yeah it reminded me of old Tiger. It was great. Other time when he shot this low in the past 2-3 years, it seems like he was kinda lucky or got good breaks to get that score. I didn't get the feeling of the old Tiger then. Today it was different. Honestly I think it was a confidence problem all along the past 2-3 years for him. His swing might've been not great, but it was cuz of a confidence problem, not mechanical (nothing big anyway IMO). Having confidence in yourself and your swing (wether it's good or not mechanically) can change big time for your golf game. He really showed his swagger today.

I'm glad I recorded the 2nd round on my DVR. I already watched it 3 times. Tiger was just staring down everything after the 7th hole. You know it's the old Tiger as well when you shoot 66 and had 3 freakin' bogeys. That's just nuts. I mean Day had an amazing day and had a bogey-free 64 and the sad part of it is... Tiger still made more birdies than Day today. It'll be interesting to see how Tiger plays tomorrow, but I think he finally found what he was looking for. Plus another thing that's good for Tiger is that he's playing with Choi this weekend. They're comfortable with each other and should shoot well and put the pressure on the young kids in the last group.

I think it's just gonna be that weekend for Tiger where it came back for him to win the Masters and his hopes for the majors record. Then he'll have his ups and downs afterwards (as I don't think he'll be back to the old Tiger consistently yet), but slowly improving throughout the year and end up with winning the FedEx Cup (or whatever it is now) at the end.

Rory lost the four-stroke lead already.
