According to MASN's Jen Royle, the Orioles' offer to Adam LaRoche is for three years and $16-18 million.

That should be enough to get it done, especially with the Nationals apparently focused on Derrek Lee. LaRoche made $4.5 million last season and saw his batting average and walks go down and strikeouts go up, but he also hit 25 homers for the third straight season and drove in a career-high 100 runs. He should be able to have his usual slow first half and then rebound after the All-Star break to post solid numbers in Baltimore.

The per-year salary is fair, but I wouldn't want him under contract for three years. Makes me feel even better about the Pena deal.

I wonder if any other team out there would have even given 2 years, much less 3, with the amount of 1B options out there to choose from.
