the united center crowd is an embarrassment.

the loudest moment all night is when there's a foul that gives the fans a chance to win a free big nac for their fat asses

Bulls free throw shooting is going to kill them in the playoffs

Odd that you say that on a night they shot 78% from the FT line.

I watched the Cavs broadcast and they flashed a graphic that said the abulls are 28th in the league in FT%

Yeah they are horrible at FT shooting. Tonight was a good night for us at the line despite shooting a mediocre percentage. But we also missed several FTs in the last minute that would have killed us had Cleveland hit a shot or two.

I don't necessarily know if lack of FT shooting will hurt us in the playoffs. Orlando actually has even a worse FT percentage than the Bulls this year and they are a team that wins in the playoffs and went to the finals 2 years ago. We'll see how much it hurts us.

The Bulls played hard tonight for about 8 minutes, and won by 9. They're not going to play well every night, and they don't have to play well to win games like this.

Really, the only game this year the Bulls coasted and it cost them was the Clippers game.

We're not playing well every night.

But we're not really playing well any night either. Seriously, we're playing the absolute dogs of the league. We'd be losing these games against anyone half decent.

They played pretty well against Milwaukee early this week, and last week absolutely killed Philly.

The truth is, they aren't playing anyone half decent, and the effort is likely related to that.

I should say we haven't played good offense in any game since that Philly game. The defense has been there consistently.

Tonight the offense was there through 3 quarters. Defense was off the first half, though.

The Houston and LA games that I went to were actually pretty decent crowds. Otherwise, I agree. By and large, the UC crowd is an embarrassment to the Bulls.

All of these games are horrible displays of basketball, but I can't complain with wins. I really believe that we're just playing down to our opposition. At least that's what I hope our recent struggles are from.

Pretty well against Milwaukee? We played a good first quarter then scored 10 points in the 2nd and were losing at halftime. The Bulls were only up 2 with about 8 minutes left before dominating the last 8 minutes and winning by 13. An effort that wouldnt cause any alarm unless its surrounded by several similar performances. I don't mind it all that much since they are winning, and are like 7-8 games up in the division. I am assuming we're gonna end up the 3rd or 4th seed in the East, and it will be nearly impossible to drop below that, so I guess these games aren't super meaningful.

Yeah, we're not gonna finish below the 4th seed barring a complete disaster which is why they can/will take their time with a trade and we can continue to scrape by against the soft schedule. It'll just be frustrating. A top 2 seed is there for the taking though.

Against Milwaukee, the Bulls played well in 3 of the 4 quarters and won going away against one of the best defensive teams in the East. I'd say that counts as playing pretty well overall.

Nothing but crying. Yeah, I get that the team has its flaws, but man, you go by this thread and you'd think the Bulls were mired in an awful, awful season of wretched basketball AKA almost any other Bulls season over the last decade.

crying? This team is in the middle of a long stretch of inferior opponents that we are beating every game in the same fashion, spurts of terrific play and periods of mediocre play. The Bulls are stuck in the 3/4 spot in the East with only an outside shot of moving up, and no shot of falling down. There is literally nothing else to discuss with the Bulls right now. The only mildly interesting story on a game to game basis is talking about how the Bulls are playing a bit listless lately, despite the winning. There are raised expectations for this team and that means there will be criticism despite winning because the next level up for the Bulls is championship contender. People want to discuss what is holding the Bulls back from getting to that point. It might be a little nitpicky in the face of the Bulls winning almost every night, but it's better than talking about how awesome Rose and Boozer are again and again after every game

while noah is out, im completely fine with the ugly wins. i'm just worried that the ugly wins will starting turning into more losses. we've barely been beating some awful teams

even with noah out, we shouldn't be having so much trouble beating these terrible teams.
