At what point if you're Vancouver do you consider starting Schneider? Luongo has been an absolute dog these past 2 games.

Schneider is pretty good and Luongo has become a mental midget against the Hawks.

You don't. Luongo is considered one of the premier goalies in the NHL. You don't pull him IMO. As you said, he's a mental midget, and pulling him, even if you win, is going to destroy his confidence. It's certainly a shitty situation for them though because its clear he will never just "dominate" the Hawks through an entire series.

i think you start him, although it might not be a terrible idea to see if schneider can get you the win. if he doesn't, luongo is set up to be the hero in game 7, if he does, you are on to the next round and start luongo the rest of the way.

however, benching luongo could ruin him for game 7 and the rest of the playoffs, too, and you pretty much need to go with what got you here. he was a big part of that.

Plus Luongo's sensitive, man.

There's no telling what a benching might do to his poor little heart.

Rose dropped the puck in Game 4 vs the Canucks last year. Too bad Bulls are on the road, cause I want to see Rose at Game 6 Saturday! Can you imagine the MVP chants?

Oh, then hopefully he'll be there fresh off a sweep.

So I am not going to lie...It makes me extremely happy that the Hawks have turned this series around and making it much more then just a cake walk for the Canucks. I still do not have a great rooting interest, but kind of hope the Hawks/Sharks and Preds win. Just so all of the Wings second round games would be played at easy hrs to watch.

duncan keith doesn't really deserve to wear that "A" on his jersey

"This year for me was frustrating," Keith said after the Hawks landed in Chicago Friday. "I felt like I had really good stretches and then there were times where -- I don't want to say lost focus -- but not really as interested for whatever reason. I don't know, I'm not explaining it right but I'd have good stretches and bad stretches and more inconsistency then I would have liked. I'm trying to have a good playoff here and do what I can to keep the team going."

"I'm not making any excuses but I didn't feel excited coming back at the start the season," Keith said. "[i'm] just being honest and I'm excited to play hockey now. Once you get off to a bad start and you're not happy with it, it's tough to get out of. It can snowball in some ways. You think you're getting out of it then it comes back and becomes a mental thing. It makes you appreciate having a good start."

i mean, that's pretty bad. he's basically admitting he wasn't giving full effort this season. it was pretty obvious too. i mean wasnt it just like 2 pages ago that someone mentioned how he was a completely different player these last 2 games and that it looked like he just suddenly flipped a switch? well there you go.

i wonder where we'd be right now if he was "excited" to start the season

It's hilarious watching some of you guys rage about Keith.

I know nothing about hockey but you were saying the same damn things last year when he won the Norris, gold medal, and the Cup. "Looks disinterested, WAY WORSE THAN LAST SEASON, etc"

I don't think he wanted it to come out that way, but it makes sense. I don't necessarily blame him for it and I'm sure he's not the only one that felt that way. Cup hangover is real.

I mean think about what he accomplished in the last year, his team finished with the best record in Blackhawks history, won a Stanley Cup, a gold medal and the Norris Trophy. Then 2 months after the greatest team accomplishment in the sport, he has to turn around and starts all over again. That offseason probably felt extremely short for him. Heck it was short as hell for me..it didnt feel like any time had passed before they were at it again. I can understand where that lack of fire came from with players as young as the Hawks core.

I'm not saying its a good quality to have or that they should be completely excused for half assing it for most of the year. I'm just saying that it doesn't make him a horrible person. Not everyone has the Michael Jordan gene where the drive is always there. I know Toews has that drive but I'm not sure about Hossa, Kane and Keith.

I think as this core gets older, they will get that drive back...probably as soon as next year. As a career moves on it seems like many players discover that their legacies are tied to how many championships they win, and realize that they won't be playing this game forever.

Also, I don't think anyone said he looked disinterested, just that he sucked in the later half of the year. And that was a statement that was shared by people who talk about hockey for a living.

You kind of would think not winning the championship would motivate them next year. Heck, getting them down 3-0 seemed to turn on a switch and I think, made them realize, how much not winning the cup sucks.

i assume the blackhawks aren't starting a goalie that they had in the minor leagues for the entire season, correct? that already makes you guys smarter than peter laviolette.

What happened to that team? Despite the presence of Pronger I was kinda rooting for them this year. For whatever reason I really like Briere and not just because he looks like Paul McCartney. But for whatever reason they haven't been the same team the last 2 months. Obviously it's not over, they are only down 1 with 2 periods to play, but there is no reason this series should have been this difficult for the Flyers, no disrespect to Buffalo intended.
