Okay, no one else will do it, so I'm flying to Chicago to ask why in god's name Soto is hitting 8th. He has been more productive than

Adam Dunn

Adrian Gonzalez

Matt Holliday

Evan Longoria

etc

and he's hitting 8th for the 59-77 Chicago Cubs. What is going on, and why is no one asking them?

I get more sick of Ryan Dempster everytime I watch him pitch. He sure does talk a good game when he talks about playing one game at a time and playing hard for the rest of the year. He is either worn out or has mentally given up. Less talk, more action Ryan.

Ok, that montage of women was ridiculously hilarious. LOL, I love how they shot them as they were stroking their hair, rubbing on suntan lotion, and then gave a hint of girl on girl action at the end.

Dempster you are comical. Way to pick up your teammates after a mistake and way to protect a 2 run lead. How about a fastball on 1-2 to the 8th place hitter? Two horrendous outings this week against bad teams.

Naah. I don’t have time to waste on the Cubs and certainly don’t have time to waste making alts on message boards. But when I saw today’s final, I just had to see how many runs Dempster gave up. I was disappointed to see that it was just 7 (well only 3 earned for the Dempster lover!). So if anyone else is bashing Dempster, perhaps some other Cub fans are starting to come around. I mean, losing for 102 years really is trying on the soul and leaves you numb to pain and suffering, but you figure they’ll get tired of pulling for a loser after a while. Even if it’s a long while. I’ll leave some room on the bus for you.

Remember that Dempster, in August, went 4-0 (in 5 starts) and put up the following sparkling line: 34.1 IP, 22 hits, 10 BBs, 29 K’s, WHIP 0.938! (compared to a season average ~ 1.29). That's #1 pitcher stuff! Accentuate the positive! Still I'm positive that the Cubs will be better in 2011 if Dempster was shot toward the sun in an Ares rocket (oops, can't do that, program was cancelled by the visionary thinkers in the White House), but the Russians need the money and probably have the time. Or a trade to Kansas City. Either will do...

Yeah, these past 102 years have been the roughest 102 years of my life. I mean 1907 and 1908 were great years, but watching this team has been rough ever since, but If suffered this long, so why stop now?

Exactly the spirit! If you've lost for 102 years, what's another few in the grand scheme of things? Let the Quade era begin!

The 102 years makes for a good story, but thats about it. Most Indians and Giants fans have never seen a champ in their lifetime. Brewers, Mariners, Rangers, and Astros for sure never have.
