I think you're very confused. The Padres have a team that is playing well and the Cubs have a middle of the pack offense.

Really? I don't deny their playing well at the moment but, did see their lineup today? Will Venable, Jerry Hariston, Nick Hundley, Tony Gywnn Jr., Everth Cabrera all, save for Hariston' robust .254, hitting .237 or less...

OK, yes, it's all smoke and mirrors that they have a .605 record and are 5.5 games up on the Giants and are in first place.

I don't suspect it's all smoke and mirrors - pitching and defense have played a large part in .605 record but, in the playoffs. They're going to be facing legit major league pitchers, not Casey Coleman and Thomas Diamond, legit pitchers who are going to shut them down.

Legit Major League pitchers, guys! Not scrubs like Kershaw, Billingsley, Lincecum, Cain, Bumgarner and Jimenez!

You got that RIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LEGIT PITCHERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, the Padres have had it easy, what with every team in their division except one having a record over .500! HERE COMES LEGIT PITCHING.

Far be it to me to have the audacity to suggestion the Padre offense isn't very good. I retract all statements, the PADRES ARE THE BEST TEAM EVER, please forgive me.
