Since money clearly isn't an object, I would invest some money in a time machine and go back to get Ty Cobb in his prime. While he might not be as athletically superior to players today as he was players of his time, I think I could help him channel his rage towards equal rights and he'd still be pretty great. I don't think you understand how a time machine works. It doesn't matter how long it takes to create. As soon as it's complete, just take it back to get Cobb and then come back to 2010. People may notice you're a little older, but it's not a big deal. Problem solved.
