Byfuglien was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Cheryl Byfuglien and father Ricky Spencer. His mother is of Norwegian descent, and his father is African American. Cheryl moved to Roseau with Dustin to be closer to her family while Ricky stayed in Minneapolis to continue college; the two never wed.

Thanx for that, too !! Now I'm really curious, 'cause I encountered a truck in a truck stop the other day. It was marked Byfuglien Trucking out of Roseau, MN. Hmmm, I wonder ???

Alright either we hold this lead and go 1 win away from the Stanley Cup, or we suffer a collapse that theres no way we recover from. I greatly prefer the former.

Even being full of Scandinavians, there can't be many Byfugliens in Roseau that aren't related to each other.

Well, yes, but he was curious about the origin of the name (answered) and the existence of a truck from Minnesota by that name

Actually, there's 81 Byfugliens listed in Minnesota. 65-70 of them are in Roseau.

That's a high concentration of Byfuglien.

Boucher just looks more confident out there. I'm not saying that translates to better play, just an observation I've made.

It's pretty easy to be more confident when you aren't facing what, arguably, was the best team in the NHL's best period of the year.

Looks like the Hawks are content to slow this one down and choke them out. Fine with me.

Same here...if it was a two goal lead or less, I'd like to see them not go completely defneisve, but 3 goal I am all for this play unless the Flyers score and then it depends on how much time is left.

Interference is clearly not a penalty anymore. Pronger mauled whoever that was.

But they have no trouble calling b.s. offsides.
