I don't understand why I hear people say Philly can't skate with us.

 

They look like they are skating just fine to me.

we controlled the puck more in the neutral zone, not in their zone. we got almost no sustained pressure on them at all. i'd be willing to bet the puck was in our zone longer than it was in theirs, although neither team had much sustained pressure.

I have a hard time believe that Michael Leighton will keep the Hawks off the board. In fact, it wouldn't surprise me if the Hawks go off on him this period for like 3-4 goals.

Versteeg was awful that period. Too bad Brouwer wasn't able to clear that puck before the first goal.

 

They came with a ton of energy which was to be expected. We're fine.
