Commentators really hammering the Hawks on their sloppy play in their own zone. He's right though, tons of horrible turnovers, blind passes, etc. They are questioning the Hawks focus.

Maybe the Hawks were too cocky, but how can you be cocky when you narrowly missed going down 3 games to 2 against the Predators? They should respect Vancouver more than that.

No doubt. I guess I kinda thought that they would turn it up once the games started mattering more.

 

Edit: In other words I was hoping that their play was due to being locked into a top 3 seed from January on as well as being fatigued from the Olympics.

ot a surprise. this is what ALWAYS happens with this team when one of our crap goalies falls apart. it completely sucks the life out of them.

Game 1 had Vancouver up 2-0 into the first intermission. The Hawks exploded for 3 in the 2nd period. I'm not giving this game up yet. Lu is a streaky goalie, who will need to stand on his head all game (and for that matter the whole series) to beat the Blackhawks. The deficit isn't all that deep right now.
