I have two players definitely starting the season on the DL (Volquez and Lidge) and one up in the air (Ross). Volquez and Lidge aren't messing up my plans because I knew from the very beginning that they'd start on the DL, but my final moves to get my roster legal depend on Ross' situation.

Where I'm really getting screwed is in my two Yahoo leagues. In each league I have one closer definitely starting on the DL (Wood and Street), but they haven's been placed on the DL yet. Because of that I've lost opportunities to replace them before potential replacements are picked up by other owners because the roster spots aren't open yet.

I am going to have a rush of players that will top 200 ABs in June/July.

Scott Sizemore, Brandon Allen, Brandon Wood, Cameron Maybin, Fernando Martinez and possibly a pitcher too with Hudson. A good problem to have, but will I be able to find room for them in my roster?

I have a good enough team to win:

1. When King Felix pitches 2 times in a week.

2. If ARAM and Reyes can play a whole year healthy.

3. If at least one of my young bats produces.

4. If Bum comes up and is the pitcher he can potentially be.

Those things don't happen and I'm trading guys like Braun early in the year for some major pieces for next year.

If would just trade me Brandon Wood, you wouldn't have to worry about it.

I'm happy that Escobar is pretty much guaranteed to start and leadoff all year, so now I just hope he can either be the slappiest hitter that ever slapped (i.e. Ichiro-like offense at SS), or develop some kind of hidden power.

Looks like Sean Rodriguez will get a shot, somewhere, at Tampa too. If he can put it all together, I'd be really hopeful for my team.

I hate the Giants a lot. They can't hit and they leave who might be their best hitter in the minors for another 2 months so he can catch every day. But, their plan when he's at the ML level is to play him at 1st and C to prolong his career. So, naturally, send him to Fresno and gain a year on the arbitration clock and "imrpove his receiving." Terrible for Giants fans and the Dealers.
