Another awesome day of split squad action. Gotta love watching the prospects get starts.

I believe Dempster is up against the Sox. No clue who is playing the Reds.

Apparently top White Sox prospect and former LSU star Jared Mitchell tore a tendon in his left ankle and may be out for the season. Ouch.

That totally sucks.

Jesus Christ, it's like night and day between Len and Hawk/Stone. God forbid you want to know anything about the Cubs players, including anything as basic as their name.

Ramirez left the game in Mesa with a tricep injury.

MESA, Ariz. -- Cubs third baseman Aramis Ramirez left the game early with what the Cubs called "triceps soreness," and a Chicago split squad went on to beat the Cincinnati Reds 11-4 on Saturday.

Bobby Scales doubled in the go-ahead run in the sixth for the Cubs, one inning after Bryan LaHair, who entered the game for Ramirez, tied the game with a three-run homer off Micah Owings.

Owings, trying to be Cincinnati's No. 5 starter, allowed three runs on four hits in two innings.

Each starting pitcher -- Cincinnati's Homer Bailey and Chicago's Sean Marshall -- allowed one run in three innings.

Reds prospect Juan Francisco homered twice and drove in three runs.

MESA, Ariz. -- Aramis Ramirez left Saturday's game against Cincinnati with right triceps soreness, the Cubs announced.

Ramirez left after the top half of the third inning. He missed two months of the 2009 season after dislocating his left shoulder diving for a ball.

"There's nothing wrong there," manager Lou Piniella said. "He'll be ready to go in a couple days, probably after (Monday's game in) Tucson. He wasn't going to Tucson anyways."
