Orioles Agree To Deal With Miguel Tejada

By Mike Axisa [January 23 at 10:45am CST]

The Orioles have agreed to a one-year deal with Miguel Tejada, reports Jeff Zrebiec of The Baltimore Sun. Terms of the deal are unknown that this point, and Zrebiec says Tejada is expected to take a physical in the next few days.

The Os might be a solid team this year, but sadley, good enough to finish 4th, 3rd if they're lucky.

Where is he gonna play? They already signed Garrett Atkins and isn't Tejada a pretty terrible shortstop these days?

The OF will be Reimold, Jones, Markakis. IF will be Tejada at 3B, Izturis at SS, Roberts at 2B, and Atkins at 1B with Wieters catching and Luke Scott getting the majority of starts at DH. That leaves Wigginton to be the main infield backup and Pie as the main OF backup.

People around here are pretty meh about Tejada coming back. Few were sorry to see him go but on a one year deal it buys some time for that 3rd base prospect they got for their former closer whose name escapes me.
